Opel and its Vauxhall subsidiary have just launched a new generation of Corsa, and are already talking about its successor. According to Vauxhall chief Executive Stefan Norman, the Corsa model will be offered to customers in the future without internal combustion engines.

"With electrification, class B and perhaps even category A cars will become more relevant," he said. The new next-generation classes, including Corsa, will be all-electric. He added that in 2025, no manufacturer will produce gasoline or diesel engines anymore.

The new Opel Corsa electric has impressive technical data. The sixth-generation Corsa offers a battery-powered electric version with 330 km of autonomy for the first time. Opel Corsa is the best-selling model. More than 13.6 million units have been produced since the world premiere in 1982.
The new Corsa electric offers 330 km of autonomy in accordance with the WLTP. The 50 kW / h battery can be quickly charged to 80% power in 30 minutes. Charging options: wired, charging station, or high-speed charging-while the battery gets an 8-year warranty. In addition, autonomy can be adapted by the driver, who has at his disposal three driving modes-normal, ECO and sport. Thanks to the power generated by 100 kW (136 HP) and an instantaneous maximum torque of 260 Nm. Corsa electric needs 8.1 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km / h.
