First images with the new Opel Insignia. Wagon Sports Tourer
Opel shows the first images with the new Insignia. The new release from the German brand will be presented for the first time at the Brussels auto show, which will be held in 2020. The latest improvements on this model will be the new adaptive IntelliLux LED Pixel, which now includes 84 led segments on the headlight. The headlights react faster and with greater accuracy, providing optimal visibility without blinding oncoming drivers.
The new edition of Insignia is equipped with many advanced technologies. The Grand Sport sedan version and the station Wagon Sports Tourer model offer a video camera for the first time. Along with a radar traffic alert that warns the driver of approaching cars from the side, the system further improves safety.
The portfolio is complemented by numerous assistance systems with proven effectiveness, such as a head-on collision warning system with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection and a head-up display. Drivers and passengers of the Insignia can relax thanks to the excellent infotainment systems with color touch screens.
The new Opel Insignia will be even more efficient than before, thanks to the light structure of petrol and diesel engines. When it was introduced in 2009, the first generation received the "European Car of the Year"award. Over the past ten years, almost 1.2 million units have left the production line in the Opel brand's hometown of Rüsselsheim.
