Opel has announced a historic profit of almost a billion euros for 2019. The success came after 20 years of massive losses, and forecasts for 2020 are at least as optimistic. But this profit cannot be made without sacrifice, as the automotive industry has entered a period of slightly lower profits due to the cost of developing new technologies. From this point of view, we can say that the update of the Astra model was aimed only at itself: efficiency.

The efficiency of engines with an impressive reduction in consumer performance and emissions is a pleasant plus. All powertrains as well as transmissions are brand new, and Opel says they are responsible for a 21 percent reduction in consumption and emissions for the Astra range. Impressive, really. However, the sacrifices made to achieve this level of efficiency are less pleasant for the user.
The Opel Astra engine line consists exclusively of three-cylinder units, which is unusual for a compact model. There are three 1.2-liter units (with power thresholds of 110 HP, 130 HP and 145 HP) that can only be ordered with a manual transmission, 1.4 liters/145 HP, available exclusively with a CVT transmission and two diesel drives of 105 HP and 130 HP.http://fiatforum.lv/http://fiatforum.lv/
